Three young men from Karachi drowned while swimming in the Hub River, according to rescue officials.

Rescue sources confirmed that the incident occurred when the individuals entered the river for swimming and were swept away by the strong current. Initially, the body of one victim was recovered, while later search operations led to the recovery of the remaining two bodies as well.

Officials stated that all three deceased belonged to Orangi Town, a densely populated area of Karachi. The identities of the victims have been confirmed by rescue teams in coordination with local authorities.

The bodies have been shifted for necessary legal and medico-legal procedures, after which they will be handed over to the families.

Rescue teams noted that river conditions in the area can be unpredictable, especially during seasonal changes, and even experienced swimmers can struggle against sudden currents. Authorities have repeatedly warned citizens against swimming in unregulated or dangerous water bodies such as the Hub River.
