79th Independence Day Celebrated at District Jail Naushahro Feroze

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE: A grand ceremony was organized at District Jail Naushahro Feroze under the leadership of Jail Superintendent Abu Bakar Mangi to mark Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day.

The ceremony formally began with the hoisting of the national flag. Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Arsalan Saleem, SSP Mir Rohel Khan Khoso and District Council Chairman Haji Sohail Akhtar Abbasi attended the event as chief guests.

Following the flag-hoisting ceremony, a contingent of jail police presented a salute to the national flag, while all participants respectfully sang the national anthem.

On the occasion, Jail Superintendent Abu Bakar Mangi presented Sindhi cultural gifts, including caps, ajraks and longis, to the visiting guests as a gesture of hospitality.

Addressing the ceremony, Jail Superintendent Abu Bakar Mangi, SSP Mir Rohel Khan Khoso and District Council Chairman Sohail Akhtar Abbasi said that August 14 was a highly significant and historic day in Pakistan’s national history. They said the day reminded the nation of the great sacrifices made by its elders and freedom fighters for the achievement of an independent homeland.

The speakers emphasized that all citizens must collectively play a positive role in the development, stability and prosperity of Pakistan. They also stressed the importance of unity, peace and national responsibility.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, a special prayer was offered for the security, peace and prosperity of Pakistan and for the elevation of the ranks of the country’s martyrs.

A cake was also cut to celebrate the 79th Independence Day, while sweets were distributed among the prisoners of the jail as part of the Independence Day celebrations.
