During the inauguration, speakers highlighted that OGDCL consistently undertakes public welfare initiatives. They explained that the camp provides expert medical consultations, treatments, medications, and operations free of cost for patients. Specialist doctors are examining and treating patients on-site to ensure comprehensive eye care for the local community.
The speakers also emphasized OGDCL’s other contributions to the area, including the provision of a Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant for clean drinking water, representing a significant benefit for local residents. Additionally, OGDCL has supported the community through free school bus services, school furniture, a model dispensary, road construction, and other essential infrastructure projects.
As a gesture of hospitality, guests attending the camp were presented with traditional Sindhi Ajrak and local handicraft gifts, reflecting the cultural heritage of the region. This initiative underscores OGDCL’s ongoing commitment to social welfare and improving the quality of life for communities in the Tando Jam area.
