Kahi Police in Khipro have arrested a suspected drug dealer and claimed to have recovered 550 grams of hashish from his possession during a routine patrol. According to police, the action was carried out while officers were conducting patrol duties in the area. The arrested suspect was identified as Teju, son of Sojo Meghwar, a resident of Village Saleh Hingorjo Rato Kot in Khipro Taluka. Police said they stopped and searched the suspect during the operation and allegedly recovered 550 grams of hashish from his possession. Following the recovery, the suspect was taken into custody and shifted to the police station lockup. Police said a case has been registered against the arrested suspect on behalf of the state at Kahi Police Station. According to officials, the case was registered on the complaint of SI Khamiso Khan Malik under Crime No. 97/2026 and Section 9.1.3B of CNS 2024. Police stated that further legal proceedings are currently underway. The authorities said the recovered substance has been taken into custody as part of the investigation and the arrested individual will face legal proceedings according to the relevant law. The police action was carried out during routine patrolling, which officials said is part of efforts to control the distribution and use of illegal drugs in the area.
