Rawalpindi: A prisoner serving a sentence in a drug-related case at Adiala Jail has died, jail sources confirmed.
According to officials, Babar Saleem was transferred to the Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology due to deteriorating health. He passed away during treatment at the hospital, the sources added.
Babar Saleem was a resident of Chakwal and had been arrested under a case registered at Doodiyal Police Station.
No further details regarding the circumstances of his death have been released.
