Leaders of the teachers’ organization of Taluka Sobhodero, including Dil Murad Wassan, Arshad Ali Mallah, Naeela Wassan, Muneer Ahmed Solangi, Khalid Hussain Memon, Zulfiqar Chakrani, Aashiq Hussain Kalhoro, and Rehmatullah Bhutto, jointly announced that they stand with the employees in their struggle for legitimate rights and will ensure the success of the lockdown.
Sindh Employees Alliance Chairman Haji Ashraf Khaskheli, while speaking about the ongoing movement launched by the Working Central Committee, said that the third phase of the protest—which was scheduled to end on September 27—has now been extended until October 6. In a meeting of the central committee held in Hyderabad, it was mutually decided that the lockdown will continue with even greater intensity.
Addressing all employees across Sindh, Haji Ashraf Khaskheli expressed gratitude, stating that their efforts had made divisional-level protests and lockdowns successful. He urged them to keep their spirits high and make the protest even more organized until October 6.
Additionally, the central leadership of the Sindh Employees Alliance announced that on Monday, September 29, and Tuesday, September 30, four-hour symbolic hunger strike camps will be set up in front of press clubs across all districts of Sindh, with full participation from leaders and members of all employee organizations.
Due to this movement, government institutions, offices, and educational centers remain completely shut, causing great difficulties for the public. However, employees maintain that their struggle is not only for their own rights but also for the supremacy of the Constitution and justice.
