Sukkur: On the auspicious occasion of Pakistan’s Independence Day, Jamaat Islah-ul-Muslimeen District Sukkur organized a dignified ceremony along with a tree plantation campaign to promote a greener and healthier Pakistan.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Saeed Awan, Press Spokesperson of Jamaat Islah-ul-Muslimeen Sindh, said that a “Green and Prosperous Pakistan” was the vision of their spiritual leader, Sajan Sain, and that by following this vision, the country could be made more beautiful and environmentally friendly.
He further said that Pakistan was the result of the unparalleled sacrifices made by the country’s elders and national heroes. He added that the freedom enjoyed by the people today was also made possible through the great sacrifices rendered by the Pakistan Armed Forces.
In accordance with their leader’s vision, Jamaat Islah-ul-Muslimeen District Sukkur planted more than 100 saplings during the campaign and reaffirmed its commitment to making the country green and environmentally friendly.
The ceremony and plantation campaign were attended by prominent office-bearers of the organization, including Khalifa Mahmood Ali Memon Tahiri, Asif Ali Rajput Tahiri, Sabghatullah Memon Tahiri, Khalifa Haseeb Ahmed Rahujo Tahiri, Khalifa Ejaz Ali Mangi Tahiri, Naseeb Ahmed Rahujo Tahiri, and Taj Muhammad Lakhan Tahiri.
The organizers conveyed an important message to the public, saying that planting trees was not only a means of protecting the environment and serving the country and nation but also an excellent form of Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity).
They urged citizens to make a collective pledge on the occasion of Independence Day to work together to make Pakistan greener, cleaner and more beautiful.
