Larkana: A dignified ceremony was organized at the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) Regional Centre Larkana to mark Pakistan’s Independence Day.
The ceremony began with the hoisting of the national flag and a cake-cutting ceremony. CPSP President Professor Muhammad Shoaib Shafi and Vice President Professor Khalid Masood Gondal addressed the gathering online. A large number of staff members of the CPSP Regional Centre Larkana participated in the event.
The ceremony was attended by Professor Hakim Ali Abro, Councillor Larkana Region; Professor Sher Muhammad Sheikh, Regional Director CPSP Regional Centre Larkana; Professor Amanullah Abbasi, Controller of Examinations, Larkana Region; and several senior professors and doctors, including Dr. Abdul Ghani Sheikh, Dr. Abdul Rahim Tunio, Dr. Dareekta Dargahi, Dr. Ehsanullah Malik, Dr. Muhammad Afzal Pichuho, Professor Aftab Shah, Professor Alam Ibrahim Siddiqui, Professor Azizullah Jalbani, Professor Bashir Ahmed Sheikh, Professor Dilijan, Professor Ghulam Abbas Kaheri, Professor Ghulam Akbar Solangi, Professor Koromal, Professor Muhammad Saleem Sheikh, Professor Moharam Ali Abbasi, Professor Mumtaz Ali, Professor Partab Rai, Professor Shabnam Naz, Professor Shahid Jamal Siddiqui, Professor Shanti Lal, Professor Sara Fatima, Professor Zamir Ahmed Soomro, Professor Yasmeen Bhatti, Professor Farooq Ahmed Sheikh and Professor Hafeezullah Abro.
Abdul Samad Bhatti, Media Coordinator of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University Larkana, also attended the ceremony.
Addressing the participants, the speakers said that Pakistan was dearer to them than their own lives. They emphasized that the existence and identity of the people were closely linked with Pakistan and described freedom as a great blessing.
Jijel Amman Welfare Hospital, Pakistan Society of Internal Medicine Sign Agreement to Provide Free Healthcare
Larkana: An agreement was signed between Jijel Amman Welfare Hospital Larkana, the first welfare hospital established in Larkana, and the Pakistan Society of Internal Medicine to provide healthcare services to deserving people.
Under the agreement, an APKA Welfare Clinic was inaugurated at Jijel Amman Welfare Hospital. The clinic was formally opened by Moazam Ali Abbasi, who cut the ribbon. A cake-cutting ceremony was also held at the hospital in connection with Independence Day celebrations.
Prominent figures from the field of Internal Medicine, including Professor Hakim Ali Abro, Professor Bashir Ahmed Sheikh, Professor Koromal, Professor Mumtaz Ali Chhato, Dr. Kamlesh Kumar and Professor Sultan Ahmed Chandio, attended the ceremony.
Members of the core committee of Jijel Amman Welfare Hospital, including Professor Sher Muhammad Sheikh, Professor Saleem Ahmed Sheikh, Ghulam Murtaza Sheikh, Saeed Ahmed Sheikh and Saifullah, also participated.
The agreement was signed by Professor Saleem Sheikh and Professor Hakim Ali Abro.
Speaking on the occasion, former MPA Moazam Ali Abbasi said that the purpose behind establishing Jijel Amman Welfare Hospital was to sincerely serve the people and provide healthcare facilities to the community.
Professor Hakim Ali Abro said that the Pakistan Society of Internal Medicine would operate a free clinic at the hospital, under which poor and underprivileged people would receive free medical treatment without discrimination.
