WASHINGTON: Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with FBI Director Kash Patel at the Federal Bureau of Investigation headquarters in Washington, where the two sides discussed strengthening cooperation in cyber investigations and law enforcement capacity building.
During the meeting, the officials held discussions on providing resources and specialized training to support cyber investigations conducted within Pakistan as well as those involving cross-border elements.
According to official details, the talks focused on enhancing collaboration in the field of cybersecurity, improving investigative capabilities, and expanding technical support to address emerging cyber threats.
The meeting took place during Mohsin Naqvi’s visit to the FBI Headquarters in Washington, reflecting ongoing engagement between Pakistan and the United States on law enforcement and security-related matters.
FBI Director Kash Patel emphasized the importance of continued cooperation between the two countries.
“Our partnership is extremely important. We are confident that together we will continue to achieve even greater success in the future,” Patel said, according to the statement.
The discussions also highlighted the need for advanced training programs and modern investigative tools to strengthen Pakistan’s capacity to investigate cybercrime and other technology-related offenses.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close cooperation and enhancing information-sharing to address evolving security challenges in the digital domain.
The meeting is part of broader efforts to expand collaboration between Pakistani and U.S. law enforcement agencies in areas including cybercrime, technical investigations, and institutional capacity building.
