LAHORE: Lahore Qalandars have unveiled their squad for the upcoming Global Super League, which will be held in Guyana, with New Zealand all-rounder Michael Bracewell appointed as captain.
The franchise announced that Bracewell will lead the side in the international T20 tournament, which features teams from different cricket leagues around the world.
The squad includes Parvez Hossain, Shayan Jahangir, Delano Potgieter, and Abdullah Shafique.
Other players named in the squad are Usama Mir, Shamil Hussain, Mohammad Naeem, Imran Randhawa, Mehran Mumtaz, Farhan Yousaf, Shahab Khan, Mohammad Basit, and Ali Shabbir.
Lahore Qalandars have also appointed former Australian fast bowler Shaun Tait as the team’s head coach for the Global Super League campaign.
The announcement of the squad and the coaching appointment was made by Lahore Qalandars Chief Executive Officer Atif Rana.
The Global Super League will provide Lahore Qalandars with an opportunity to compete against champion franchises from other cricket-playing nations, while giving several emerging players valuable international exposure alongside experienced overseas cricketers.
