According to the newly released rankings, Ayub jumped four places to secure the top spot, relegating India’s Hardik Pandya to second position. Sri Lanka’s Pathum Nissanka rose two spots to 5th, while Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav slipped two places to 8th. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s experienced duo Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan dropped in rankings – Babar by two places to 37th and Rizwan by three places to 41st.
Bowlers’ Rankings: Varun Chakravarthy Leads, Pakistan Mixed Results
India’s mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy retained his No.1 ranking among bowlers. Pakistan’s Abrar Ahmed, however, fell three places to 7th. On the other hand, India’s Kuldeep Yadav jumped nine places to 12th, and Pakistan’s spearhead Shaheen Afridi made a strong comeback, leaping 12 spots to 14th after impressive recent spells.
Pakistan’s fast bowler Haris Rauf dropped five places to 33rd, while Mohammad Nawaz climbed five places to 41st. Faheem Ashraf also moved up four places, reaching 35th.
