Veteran Pakistani actor Waseem Abbas has spoken candidly about his second marriage and eventual divorce from acclaimed actress Saba Hameed, sharing details about their long relationship.

In a recent interview that has gained attention on social media, Abbas said that he and Saba Hameed were married for 29 years before they mutually agreed to separate.

“Our marriage lasted 29 years, and then we decided, with mutual consent, to get divorced. My prayers are always with her, and I wish her happiness,” he said.

The actor emphasized that the end of a relationship does not necessarily mean one person is right and the other is wrong.

“It is not necessary that when a relationship ends, one person is truthful and the other is not. Sometimes both individuals are right in their own way and have valid reasons for their decisions.”

Waseem Abbas added that it is better to part ways respectfully than to remain in an unhappy relationship.

“Instead of living a bitter life together, it is better to separate at the right time with dignity and mutual respect. There is nothing wrong with ending a relationship gracefully.”

He also revealed that the couple had decided not to have children together when they got married.

“We didn’t have children together. I have four children from my first marriage, and Saba has two from hers. We had agreed from the beginning that we would not have children together.”

Responding to a question about their current relationship, Abbas said there is no bitterness between them.

“I have no resentment toward Saba. Whenever we meet, we speak warmly, and if someone casts us together in a drama, we would happily work together.”

The veteran actor’s remarks have been widely appreciated by fans for highlighting the importance of mutual respect and maturity, even after the end of a long marriage.
