Mumbai: Thousands of gas cylinders were washed away after severe monsoon rains and flooding caused the collapse of a plant wall in the Indian state of Maharashtra.

According to Indian media, heavy monsoon rainfall has been affecting several states, flooding roads and low-lying areas, triggering landslides, and washing away key transport links.

Reports said that the intense rainfall in Maharashtra created flood-like conditions, leading to the collapse of a section of a gas storage facility. As a result, thousands of LPG cylinders were swept into a nearby river.

Videos circulating on social media show the strong river current carrying away nearly 3,000 red-colored gas cylinders, creating dramatic scenes that quickly went viral online.

Authorities are monitoring the situation, while no immediate reports of casualties linked to the incident have been confirmed.
