Bhiria City (N Pak Soch): Bhiria City Police conducted a raid on an alleged gambling den and arrested three suspects. A case has also been registered against the arrested individuals.
According to police, the action was carried out on a tip-off under the leadership of SHO Zulfiqar Ali Bhanbhro. The arrested suspects were identified as Saeed Ahmed son of Shafi Muhammad Memon, Khalid alias Karo son of Shah Mir Kalhoro, and Muhammad Hanif son of Ghulam Shabbir Joghi.
Police claimed to have recovered Rs1,500 in cash, mobile phones, 52 gambling cards and two motorcycles from the suspects. The arrested men were taken into custody and shifted to the police station.
Police said an FIR, No. 161/2026, was registered against the suspects under Section 5 of the Gambling Act.
Speaking to the media, SHO Zulfiqar Ali Bhanbhro said that on the special instructions of SSP Mir Rohal Khan Khoso, operations against criminals, drug dealers, usurers and gamblers have been intensified. He added that legal action would be taken against anyone found involved in activities considered harmful to society.
The police officer further said that efforts would continue to control social evils and maintain law and order in the area.
