KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast hot and humid weather in Karachi over the next three days, while predicting rain and thunderstorms in several districts of Sindh beginning today.
According to the Met Office, moist winds from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal are entering the upper parts of the country, while a western weather system is also expected to influence northern regions.
Rain Forecast for Sindh
The PMD said that Dadu and Jamshoro are likely to receive light rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms today.
On the following two days, weather conditions are expected to become favorable for rain in Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, and several other districts of Sindh, where gusty winds and thunderstorms may also occur.
Hot Weather to Continue in Karachi
For Karachi, the Meteorological Department has forecast that temperatures may rise to 37°C today and tomorrow, with the city expected to experience hot, humid, and partly cloudy conditions over the next three days.
There is also a possibility of light drizzle in some areas during the early morning and nighttime hours.
Relief Expected from Thursday
Weather officials said that temperatures are likely to decrease from Thursday, when sea breezes are expected to strengthen, bringing relatively cooler conditions to the city.
Residents have been advised to take precautions during the hottest hours of the day by staying hydrated, avoiding unnecessary outdoor activities in direct sunlight, and following weather updates issued by the Meteorological Department.
