KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan continued their downward trend on Tuesday, with the price of 24-karat gold falling by Rs2,500 per tola, according to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association (APGJA).

Following the latest decline, the price of one tola of gold now stands at Rs434,936 across the country.

The association also reported that the price of 10 grams of gold decreased by Rs2,143, bringing it down to Rs372,887.

The latest reduction comes a day after another significant decline, when the price of gold dropped by Rs2,400 per tola, extending the recent downward trend in the domestic bullion market.

Gold prices in Pakistan generally fluctuate in line with changes in the international bullion market as well as movements in the rupee-dollar exchange rate, resulting in frequent adjustments to local rates.
