KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast a rise in temperatures across Karachi beginning today, with daytime highs expected to reach 37 degrees Celsius over the next three days while humid conditions continue to prevail.

According to the weather department, the city is likely to experience partly cloudy skies accompanied by humid weather during the forecast period. Residents may also experience light drizzle in isolated areas during the early morning or late-night hours.

Meteorologists said maximum temperatures are expected to range between 35°C and 37°C, while minimum temperatures are likely to remain between 28°C and 30°C.

The PMD added that southwesterly sea breezes will continue to blow across Karachi, contributing to humid conditions despite the anticipated increase in daytime temperatures.

Elsewhere in Sindh, weather officials forecast generally hot and dry conditions across most districts. However, isolated areas of Umerkot and Tharparkar may receive thunderstorms and rainfall during the forecast period.

Authorities have advised residents to take precautions against heat exposure, remain hydrated, and limit unnecessary outdoor activities during the hottest hours of the day as temperatures continue to climb.
