Islamabad (September 10, 2025): Pakistan has successfully received the full supply of the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine from the United Nations to strengthen its fight against cervical cancer.
According to official sources, the final consignment of the vaccine has arrived in the country, bringing the total supply to 13 million doses provided by UNICEF. Alongside vaccines, UNICEF also delivered 13 million 0.3 ml syringes to support the campaign.
The combined value of the HPV vaccines and syringes stands at 10 billion PKR, fully donated by the international vaccine alliance Gavi.

- Coverage Regions: Punjab, Sindh, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, and Islamabad
- Target Group: Girls aged 9 to 14 years will receive a single dose of the HPV vaccine
Health teams will administer the vaccine in both public and private schools, ensuring widespread outreach.
