The United States, Iran, Russia and Türkiye have extended special Independence Day greetings to the people of Pakistan, praising their ties with the country and expressing support for stronger cooperation, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Friday.
–US Secretary of State congratulates Pakistani people–
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio congratulated the Pakistani people on Independence Day on behalf of the United States. He said the two countries were turning opportunities into development through cooperation in regional mediation, critical minerals, energy, counter-terrorism, cultural heritage, trade and investment.
Rubio said the cooperation was producing real results for both American and Pakistani people. He also paid tribute to the partnership between the two countries and the friendship and close relations between their peoples.
–US chargé d’affaires Natalie sends greeting message–
US chargé d’affaires Natalie Baker also sent a video message to mark Pakistan’s Independence Day. She congratulated the Pakistani people on behalf of the US government and people.
Ms Baker said the United States was proud to have been among the first countries to recognise Pakistan as an independent state. She said the two countries had since built a lasting partnership based on a shared vision and a common future.
She assured Pakistanis that the United States would continue to play the role of a committed partner in Pakistan’s development.
–Iranian Ambassador Reza vows to strengthen ties–
Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Reza Amiri Moghaddam also congratulated the Pakistani nation on Independence Day. He said the commitment of the leadership of both countries had brought Pakistan-Iran relations to a historic turning point.
The Iranian ambassador said his country was committed to further strengthening ties with Pakistan and would work to expand relations for the mutual benefit of the people of both countries.
He said Iran valued its friendship, mutual respect and cooperation with Pakistan. He added that a new period of hope and optimism had begun in bilateral relations, with efforts continuing to increase cooperation in all areas.
Moghaddam also expressed his wishes for peace, security, development, prosperity and the well-being of the Pakistani people.
–Russain Ambassador Khorev extends congratulations–
Russian Ambassador Albert P Khorev also extended his sincere congratulations to Pakistan on Independence Day. He said Russia and Pakistan would continue to expand their partnership in the interests of both countries.
Khorev said Pakistan’s national day reflected the courage, firm determination and strong national spirit of its people. He said Pakistan had followed its own path of development over the decades, guided by the ideas and hopes of its founders.
The Russian ambassador highlighted the traditional friendly and respectful relations between Russia and Pakistan, saying the two countries had a long history of cooperation and maintained close and constructive links in several fields.
He expressed confidence that the two countries would further strengthen mutual understanding and expand their partnership for their shared interests.
Khorev wished peace, stability and prosperity for Pakistan and expressed his hopes for the health, success and well-being of its people.
–Turiye’s VP Yilmaz extends good wishes–
At a ceremony held at Pakistan House in Ankara to mark Pakistan’s Independence Day, Türkiye’s Vice-President Cevdet Yilmaz also extended his good wishes to the Pakistani nation.
Yilmaz conveyed congratulations from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Turkish people. He said relations between Türkiye and Pakistan went far beyond traditional diplomacy and were based on an exceptional brotherly bond.
He said the historic support given by Muslims of the Indian subcontinent during Türkiye’s War of Independence would always be remembered.
The Turkish vice-president said the friendship between Türkiye and Pakistan was built on a strong foundation of shared history and mutual brotherhood. He said Türkiye was committed to further deepening bilateral cooperation with Pakistan.
Yilmaz said the two countries would continue joint efforts for regional peace and stability. He also stressed the importance of strengthening trilateral cooperation between Türkiye, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
He added that strategic cooperation between Türkiye and Pakistan would be further strengthened.
