Tehran: Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei has said that Iran is carefully reviewing proposals presented by the United States and will announce its position once a final conclusion is reached.

Speaking in an official statement, Baghaei emphasized that Tehran is proceeding according to its own diplomatic and strategic priorities and is not concerned about externally imposed timelines or deadlines.

“We are doing our work and are not paying attention to any deadline,” the spokesman stated.

Iran Considering American Proposals

Baghaei confirmed that Iranian authorities are examining recent proposals from the United States, though he did not disclose details regarding the nature of the discussions or the specific issues under consideration.

He said that once Iran reaches a definitive decision, the government will officially inform the public and the international community.

His remarks come amid ongoing diplomatic contacts and growing international attention regarding tensions in the region and possible negotiations between Tehran and Washington.

Accusation of Ceasefire Violation

The Iranian spokesman also criticized what he described as hostile actions carried out on Thursday night, calling them a clear violation of international law and the ceasefire agreement.

According to Baghaei, Iran views the incident as unacceptable and contrary to international legal norms.

He did not provide detailed information regarding the exact nature of the operation but stressed that Iranian armed forces remain fully prepared to respond to any developments.

“The Iranian armed forces are completely ready with all their capabilities and are closely monitoring the situation,” he said.

Iranian Forces on High Alert

The statement highlighted Iran’s continued military vigilance amid heightened regional tensions.

Iranian officials have repeatedly stated in recent months that the country’s defense forces remain prepared to counter any threats against national security or territorial integrity.

Baghaei’s comments indicate that Tehran is maintaining a cautious approach while simultaneously keeping diplomatic channels open.

Diplomatic Efforts Continue

The remarks also suggest that indirect or direct communications between Iran and the United States remain ongoing despite tensions and regional instability.

Analysts believe discussions between the two sides may involve broader issues such as:

  • Regional security
  • Nuclear-related negotiations
  • Sanctions relief
  • Ceasefire arrangements
  • De-escalation efforts

However, Iranian officials continue to insist that decisions will be made according to Iran’s national interests rather than external political pressure.

Focus on Strategic Independence

Iranian leadership has frequently emphasized the importance of strategic independence in foreign policy decisions, particularly in negotiations involving Western powers.

By rejecting the importance of deadlines, Tehran appears to be signaling that it will not rush into agreements under international pressure.

Political observers say this approach is consistent with Iran’s longstanding negotiation strategy, where officials often stress patience and internal review before responding to foreign proposals.

Regional Situation Remains Sensitive

The Middle East continues to face uncertainty due to ongoing geopolitical tensions, military confrontations, and diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing conflict.

International actors have been closely monitoring developments involving Iran and the United States, especially amid concerns about regional stability and security.
