KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan increased on Thursday, with the price of one tola of gold rising by Rs400.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of one tola of gold increased to Rs457,136 following the latest rise.
The price of 10 grams of gold also increased by Rs343, reaching Rs391,920.
Meanwhile, gold prices in the international bullion market also recorded an increase. According to the association, the international price of gold rose by $4, reaching $4,346 per ounce.
The increase in domestic gold prices came in line with the upward movement in international bullion prices.
Gold prices in Pakistan are closely linked to international market trends, while fluctuations in the local currency and domestic demand can also influence the final price in the local market.
The latest increase means gold continues to trade at historically elevated levels in Pakistan, keeping the precious metal an important focus for investors, jewelers and consumers.
Market participants generally monitor international gold prices, currency movements and global economic developments when assessing the direction of domestic bullion prices.
With the latest increase, the price of one tola of gold has reached Rs457,136, while 10 grams is now priced at Rs391,920, according to the jewellers’ association.
