SUKKUR: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sukkur Ahmed Faisal Chaudhry held a cordial meeting with a delegation of the Sukkur National Press Club (Registered) at his office, with both sides agreeing to maintain effective coordination and strengthen cooperation on matters concerning public welfare, law and order, and the elimination of crime.
The meeting was held at the invitation of SSP Ahmed Faisal Chaudhry. The delegation was led by Sukkur National Press Club General Secretary Agha Yawar and former President Taj Mahmood Rind.
Those accompanying the delegation included Vice President Ashraf Abro, Information Secretary Danish Rajput, Office Secretary Raja Ghulam Sheikh, Executive Members Aamir Jogi and Farhan Memon, along with other members including Pragh Sharma, Adam Shanbani, Zameer Ghaniew, Hameed Dal, Saif Baloch, Hafeez Baloch, Ali Baloch, Usama Baloch, Akbar Khan, Abdul Jabbar Noonari and Khadim Junejo.
The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere. During the discussion, the participants exchanged views on the overall law and order situation in Sukkur, efforts to control and eliminate crime, various public issues and ways to enhance cooperation between the police department and the journalist community.
SSP Ahmed Faisal Chaudhry emphasized the importance of maintaining continuous communication between the police and members of the press. He said that both institutions have an important role to play in improving society and addressing issues faced by the public.
He stressed that the police and journalist community should remain in regular contact and work together through consultation and effective coordination, particularly on important matters affecting the city and its residents.
The SSP assured the delegation of his full cooperation and support. He said that the positive role played by journalists and their constructive efforts for the betterment of society would be appreciated.
Ahmed Faisal Chaudhry also highlighted the importance of responsible journalism in bringing public concerns to the attention of relevant authorities. He said effective communication between law enforcement agencies and the media could contribute to greater public awareness and help facilitate the resolution of genuine public grievances.
The members of the Sukkur National Press Club delegation, in turn, assured the SSP that they would continue to maintain effective coordination and communication with the police department.
The delegation members said that the journalist community would extend its full cooperation to the police in efforts to maintain peace and order in Sukkur, combat criminal activities and highlight issues affecting citizens.
They also emphasized the importance of constructive engagement between the media and law enforcement agencies, saying that timely communication and mutual cooperation could play an important role in promoting peace and improving the overall situation in the city.
The delegation appreciated the SSP’s willingness to engage with representatives of the journalist community and discuss matters of mutual interest in an open and positive environment.
Both sides agreed that regular interaction and close coordination would help improve communication, address emerging issues more effectively and contribute to the broader interests of the people of Sukkur.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the participants reiterated their commitment to strengthening mutual cooperation and maintaining effective communication between the police and the Sukkur National Press Club.
The meeting ended on a positive note, with both sides agreeing to continue working together in the interest of peace, public safety, crime prevention and the resolution of public issues.
