Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the Naval and Air Chiefs, and the Pakistan Armed Forces paid tribute to the country’s martyrs on Defence Day.

According to ISPR, the sacrifices of the martyrs, the courage of veterans and the resilience of their families remain a source of national strength and pride. It said Pakistan’s defenders sacrificed their lives on battlefields, in the air and at sea.

The military’s media wing said the sacrifices of the martyrs would continue to inspire future generations, while their families remain symbols of courage and perseverance.

ISPR said the armed forces remain fully prepared to defend Pakistan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and national interests. It added that Pakistan seeks peace, stability and prosperity in the region and remains committed to peaceful coexistence.

The statement warned that Pakistan’s desire for peace should not be mistaken for weakness, stressing that any aggression against the country would receive an immediate and decisive response.
