The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) may take strict action against steps regarding the decision to send Imam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Rizwan back to Pakistan. A high-level investigative committee is also reportedly being formed to examine matters wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan and opener Imam-ul-Haq, who were released from the Pakistan cricket team’s England tour.
According to sources, the PCB took significant steps regarding the decision to send Imam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Rizwan back to Pakistan. A high-level investigative committee is also reportedly being formed to examine matters concerning Imam.
Sources said Imam-ul-Haq, who has previously been accused of faking an injury, could potentially face a ban of one to two years in the future if the allegations are established.
The PCB is also said to have serious concerns regarding Mohammad Rizwan’s discipline.
According to sources, Rizwan may be questioned by the board in the coming days. His inclusion in any Pakistan team in the near future is considered unlikely.
Sources added that Mohammad Rizwan could also face strict disciplinary action depending on the outcome of the board’s review.
