Five people lost their lives, and 11 were critically injured in two accidents in Ghotki, and Chiniot areas.
The first accident occurred on the M-5 Motorway when a Mazda collided with a trailer parked beside the road in Ghotki.
The dead persons were identified as Safia, wife of Mohammad Qasim, Abdul Rauf, son of Haji Ahmad Khokhar; and Ashiq Hussain and Abdul Ghani, Asif, Sarwar Bibi, Nasreen Bibi, and Mai Khursheed were injured in the accident.
Soon after receiving the report, the Rescue 1122 team rushed to the spot and shifted the dead and injured persons to Taliuka Hospital in Ghotki.
In the second accident, two people were dead, and six were injured when a rickshaw collided with a Shehzor mini truck at Jhang Road Mahawala.
The dead persons were later identified as Ahmad Yar son of Sulemain aged 45 and Mohammad Arif son of Ghulam Mohammad aged 65.
Soon after the incident, Rescue 1122 teams rushed to the spot and shifted he dead and injured persons to District Headquarters Hospital.
