State Minister for Law Barrister Aqeel Malik to Imran Khan’s sons was either a connection problem or that they did not want to speak to their father. He said their WhatsApp number was set only said that two attempts were made to arrange a phone conversation between PTI founder Imran Khan and his sons, but the calls could not be connected.
Speaking on Geo News programme Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Sath, Barrister Aqeel Malik said the government was continuing to implement the court’s decision and that meetings with Imran Khan’s sisters had already been facilitated.
He claimed that the issue with calls to Imran Khan’s sons was either a connection problem or that they did not want to speak to their father. He said their WhatsApp number was set only for calling.
Barrister Aqeel further said that institutions and their heads were being targeted on social media. He warned that if political tactics were used for political purposes, meetings with Imran Khan could be stopped.
He said another meeting with Imran Khan could take place before the next Supreme Court hearing. However, he added that those who met Imran Khan today had been warned that they allegedly violated an undertaking submitted to the court by engaging in political propaganda.
The minister also said that Imran Khan’s sons have valid Pakistani identity cards but still cite visa-related issues as a reason for not being able to communicate with or visit their father.
