LONDON: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held an important meeting with President Asif Ali Zardari in London, during which national and current political matters were discussed.
According to sources, the meeting lasted for around one hour, with President Zardari and Mohsin Naqvi also holding a one-on-one discussion.
Sources said several important national and political issues came under discussion during the meeting. Mohsin Naqvi also conveyed an important message to President Zardari.
According to sources, President Zardari reiterated his position on various national matters, particularly the ongoing debate over the creation of new provinces.
The president stressed that all stakeholders would have to work together to move forward in the national interest. He said that no issue could have a lasting solution without national consensus.
President Asif Ali Zardari is currently in London, where he is expected to stay for around two weeks.
