China has strongly opposed the recent attacks on Iran, calling for an immediate cessation of hostilities and emphasizing that the use of force is not a solution to regional issues.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi stated that the conflict should never have occurred and criticized plans aimed at regime change in Iran, noting that such initiatives lack popular support. He urged respect for the sovereignty and security of both Iran and Gulf countries, stressing that the escalation of war must be prevented and that major powers should play a constructive role in maintaining regional stability.
In line with this stance, China explicitly demanded an immediate stop to the attacks on Iran, highlighting the need for diplomacy and peaceful conflict resolution. Previously, Russia had also condemned the U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran, calling for the attacks to be halted immediately.
