United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has confirmed that six American military personnel have been killed in the ongoing conflict with Iran. CENTCOM reported that two additional US soldiers’ bodies were recovered following Iran’s initial attacks.

In related developments, the US also confirmed the loss of three fighter jets over Kuwait. Furthermore, American forces claimed to have destroyed all Iranian naval vessels present in the Gulf of Oman.

In response to these US claims, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a warning stating that the Strait of Hormuz is completely closed and that any ship attempting to pass would be set ablaze. The IRGC also claimed an attack on a US-affiliated oil tanker in the strait.

The escalation between US and Iranian forces has resulted in significant casualties, with Iranian authorities reporting that 555 people have been killed so far due to combined US and Israeli strikes. According to the Iranian Red Crescent, attacks have targeted 131 cities across Iran, indicating a wide-scale military operation.

The developments highlight an intensifying conflict in the region, with maritime, aerial, and ground confrontations contributing to both military and civilian losses. The situation in the Gulf of Oman and the Strait of Hormuz remains highly volatile, raising global concerns over regional security and the free flow of shipping through critical international waterways.
