The Supreme Court has not approved the federal government’s request for an early hearing of its review petition in the PTI founder’s hospital transfer case, sources said on Monday.
The government’s review petition has been allotted case number 2033/2026 and will be fixed for hearing according to the court’s regular scheduling policy, the sources said.
The government had sought early listing of the review petition challenging the order concerning the PTI founder’s transfer to hospital.
According to sources, the review petition will now be taken up in its normal turn under the court’s fixed-term policy.
A contempt of court petition related to the matter is also expected to be fixed along with the main case.
The bench hearing the matter is not available during the Supreme Court’s summer vacations, the sources said.
The case is scheduled to come up for hearing on September 16, after the summer recess.
