The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) legislative assembly has been summoned to meet on August 24.
According to sources, the assembly session, scheduled to begin at 2 pm at the Civil Secretariat in Muzaffarabad, is expected to witness important progress regarding the election of the new speaker and deputy speaker.
The schedule for the election process is likely to be announced during the session, including dates and procedures for submitting nomination papers and other necessary formalities.
A notification summoning the AJK Legislative Assembly session has already been issued.
Following the election of the speaker and deputy speaker, the assembly is likely to proceed with its regular parliamentary proceedings.
