BADIN — August 20, 2026: Badin-based businessman Nazeer Ahmed Khaskheli held a press conference at the National Press Club Badin, claiming that his son, Thaliq Nazeer, has allegedly become addicted to drugs and that the family fears possible harm to their lives and property.
Addressing journalists, Nazeer Ahmed Khaskheli said that his son had allegedly committed thefts from their family home and from the houses of relatives to meet the expenses associated with his alleged drug addiction. He further claimed that similar thefts had also taken place in the neighborhood and that he had submitted a written complaint regarding the matter to the SSP Badin.
According to Nazeer Ahmed Khaskheli, the situation had now deteriorated to such an extent that the family had begun to fear for their safety. He said they were concerned that the situation could result in physical or financial harm to family members and urged the relevant authorities to take notice of the matter.
The businessman stated that he is a respectable trader operating his business on Seerani Road in Badin. During the press conference, he publicly announced that he was distancing himself from his son because of the alleged activities and the growing concerns surrounding the situation.
Nazeer Ahmed Khaskheli further stated that, from that day onward, he should not be considered responsible for any financial dealings, disputes, or other activities allegedly carried out by his son. He said that if Thaliq Nazeer enters into any transaction with anyone or becomes involved in any dispute or incident, responsibility for such matters should rest with Thaliq Nazeer himself.
He appealed to the concerned authorities to consider the family’s concerns and take appropriate action according to law. He also emphasized that his statement was being made publicly because of what he described as serious concerns regarding the safety and financial security of his family.
The allegations made during the press conference are claims by Nazeer Ahmed Khaskheli; any criminal responsibility or wrongdoing would be subject to investigation and determination by the relevant authorities.
