Islamabad – On the occasion of the martyrdom anniversary of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid heartfelt tribute to the late leader, highlighting her contributions toward building a peaceful, progressive, and democratic Pakistan.
In his message, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif described Benazir Bhutto as “Pakistan’s great daughter” and emphasized her unparalleled struggle for democracy, public rights, and the stability of the federation. He noted that her efforts played a pivotal role in promoting democratic values, tolerance, and political harmony in the country.
“Benazir Bhutto encouraged tolerance and consensus within political processes, a contribution that remains praiseworthy,” the Prime Minister said. He stressed that her services for the nation and the country will always be remembered.
The Prime Minister further acknowledged her significant contributions toward women’s empowerment and the protection of minority rights, describing them as part of her enduring political legacy. He said that Benazir Bhutto’s sacrifices and achievements serve as a guiding light for the nation, setting an example of patriotism and dedication to public welfare.
Reaffirming his commitment to continue the principles championed by the late leader, Shehbaz Sharif stated, “The journey of tolerance, patience, the rule of law, and public welfare will be advanced with the same spirit.” He concluded by praying that Allah grants Benazir Bhutto the highest place in Jannah and provides her family and admirers with steadfast patience.
