Darakhshan Police Arrest Three Private Security Guards for Public Display of Weapons
KARACHI: Darakhshan Police in Karachi South District arrested three private security guards during successful operations against the public display of firearms in violation of the imposed ban.
According to police, the suspects were dressed in civilian clothes while openly displaying weapons in public. The arrested individuals were identified as Farhan, son of Mumtaz; Noor Nawaz, son of Bhai Khan; and Inayat Ali, son of Muhammad Sadiq.
Police also seized the weapons carried by the suspects, including:
- One M-4 rifle with a loaded magazine containing 14 live rounds and one walkie-talkie, recovered from Farhan.
- One 12-bore rifle with a loaded magazine containing five live rounds, recovered from Noor Nawaz.
- One MP-5 semi-automatic rifle with a loaded magazine containing 20 live rounds, recovered from Inayat Ali.
Cases have been registered against the accused at Darakhshan Police Station under FIR Nos. 520/2026 and 521/2026 pursuant to Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).
