The Imam of Masjid Hussaini Merani, Abdul Ghaffar Malik, has appealed to senior police officials for the safe recovery of his 15-year-old son, Ali Sher Malik, who has been missing since September 11.
Addressing a press conference at the Sukkur National Press Club, the distressed father said his son disappeared mysteriously after leaving home for Double Section School, and has not returned since. He added that the family resides in Bachal Shah, Sukkur, and fears that the boy may have been abducted.
Abdul Ghaffar Malik said that despite several visits to the police station, no progress has been made in the investigation. He complained that the local police have shown negligence and lack of cooperation, leaving the family in a state of anguish and uncertainty.
“I am a poor man and serve as an Imam in the mosque. My only son has gone missing, yet the police have failed to take any meaningful action,” Malik said with tears in his eyes.
The grieving father has appealed to the SSP Sukkur and DIG Sukkur to take urgent notice of the matter and ensure his son’s immediate recovery.
