DADU: Police in Dadu have arrested a man for allegedly filing a false motorcycle robbery complaint in an attempt to implicate several individuals in a fabricated criminal case.

According to police, Irfan Solangi reported late at night to the A-Section Police Station that his motorcycle had been snatched by a group of known individuals.

Upon receiving the complaint, SHO Liaquat Ali Serki, along with his team, immediately launched an investigation into the alleged robbery.

Police said the inquiry revealed that no robbery or motorcycle-snatching incident had actually occurred.

According to investigators, the complainant had allegedly fabricated the story due to a personal dispute and attempted to falsely implicate certain individuals in a criminal case.

During the investigation, police also recovered the motorcycle that had reportedly been stolen, which they said further confirmed that the information provided to law enforcement was false and misleading.

Police subsequently arrested Irfan Solangi on allegations of misleading authorities, attempting to falsely implicate innocent people, and wasting police time and resources.

According to officials, ASI Kaleemullah, acting as the duty officer, lodged an official complaint against the suspect, leading to the registration of FIR No. 243/2026 under Sections 182, 203, and 211 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).

Commenting on the case, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dadu, Captain (Retd.) Saddam Hussain Khaskheli, urged citizens to provide only accurate and genuine information when reporting crimes to the police.

He said that filing false complaints, making baseless allegations against innocent individuals, or intentionally misleading law enforcement are punishable offences under the law.

The SSP warned that strict legal action would be taken against anyone found deliberately submitting false reports or misusing the criminal justice system, adding that such cases would be dealt with without discrimination.
