JACOBABAD: Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Larkana Range, Nasir Aftab, has taken strict notice of the alleged honour killing of an 18-year-old woman in Jacobabad and ordered the immediate arrest of the suspect involved in the case.

According to an official statement issued by the Office of the DIG Larkana Range on July 11, 2026, the incident occurred within the jurisdiction of Abad Police Station in Village Wali Muhammad Bhan, where an 18-year-old woman, identified as Rehana, daughter of Manthar Ali Bhan, was allegedly killed over accusations of karo-kari (so-called honour-related allegations).

Following reports of the incident, DIG Nasir Aftab directed police authorities to ensure the swift arrest of the accused and instructed officers to take immediate legal action in accordance with the law.

The DIG emphasized that those involved in the killing must be brought to justice without delay and that no leniency would be shown in crimes committed under the pretext of so-called honour.

Police have initiated legal proceedings, while efforts are underway to apprehend the suspect. Further investigation into the incident is in progress.
