Some key religious and influential personalities of Gilgit-Baltistan joined the Istekham-e-Pakistan Party (IPP), reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
A delegation of religious scholars met with IPP Secretary General Mian Khalid Mehmood. The delegation includes Maulana Abdul Mutalib, Maulana Abdul Karim, Mohammad Wazir Siddiqui, Maulana Charagh Alam, Maulana Burhanduddin, Maulana Sher Azam, and others.
All these persons reposed their full confidence in the leadership of President IPP Abdul Aleem Khan.
IPP President of Gilgit-Baltistan Haji Gulbar Khan and General Secretary Fateh Ullah Khan were also present during the meeting.
The participants of the meeting said that the formation of a new government in Gilgit-Baltistan is a welcome step.
They said that we have to join hands with the state and its institutions to move forward. Mian Khalid Mehmood welcomed all the newly joined members into the party.
