The department has directed the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Azad Kashmir to take all necessary steps for the immediate implementation of the reward program and to ensure coordination among relevant law enforcement agencies.

Officials said the initiative is intended to support ongoing investigations and assist authorities in apprehending individuals wanted in connection with recent security-related incidents.

Background: Organization Declared Banned

The latest development follows the Azad Kashmir government’s decision in recent days to declare the Jammu Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee a banned organization.

The government cited security concerns and alleged unlawful activities as reasons for imposing the ban. The decision significantly escalated tensions between authorities and members of the group.

Following the ban, law enforcement agencies launched a series of actions aimed at enforcing the government’s decision and investigating incidents linked to the organization.

Strike Call and Rising Tensions

The banned committee had announced a strike for June 9, which has drawn considerable attention across the region.

Authorities have been monitoring the situation closely amid concerns that protests, demonstrations, or other activities could affect public order.

Security measures have reportedly been strengthened in several areas to prevent any disruption and to ensure the safety of residents.

Deadly Incident in Rawalakot

The government’s actions also come in the aftermath of a violent incident that occurred in Rawalakot on June 7.

According to official accounts, four personnel of a law enforcement agency were killed during an exchange of fire involving individuals described by authorities as miscreants linked to the banned Action Committee.

The incident intensified security concerns and prompted calls for stricter enforcement measures.

Investigations into the shootings remain ongoing, and authorities have stated that those responsible will be brought to justice through legal proceedings.

Continuing Investigation

Officials have emphasized that efforts to trace and arrest the wanted individuals will continue in accordance with the law. Security agencies are reportedly coordinating across multiple districts as part of the operation.

The Home Department has urged the public to remain vigilant and to report any relevant information through official channels.

As the situation develops, authorities are expected to continue implementing security measures while pursuing investigations into recent incidents connected to the banned organization. The case remains a significant issue in Azad Kashmir’s political and security landscape, with both law enforcement agencies and government officials closely monitoring events across the region.
