A PTI parliamentary leader Shahid Khatak has claimed that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, party leader Junaid Akbar and several other associates have been arrested after imposing governor’s rule in the province.

In a message posted on social media platform X, the parliamentary leader said the arrests had taken place and urged people across Pakistan, particularly residents of Peshawar, to take to the streets in support of former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan.

“People of Peshawar, now it is your turn. Come out of your homes for your beloved leader, Imran Khan, and for his soldier,” he said in the message.

The leader said he was present in Peshawar and called on people from across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to head to the city. He added that he would be wherever the gathering grew in size.

He also urged residents of southern districts, including Karak, to block the national highway and called on people to make their way to Peshawar.
