Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has said that when a nation stands united, no force in the world can weaken its foundations, adding that national unity proved to be Pakistan’s greatest strength during “Marka-e-Haq” (Battle for Truth).
In a video message issued on the first anniversary of the military operation, Ishaq Dar described the day as an important and decisive chapter in Pakistan’s national history. He said the occasion was not merely a date on the calendar but a symbol of courage, unity, sacrifice, and unwavering determination.
Tribute to the Nation and Armed Forces
The foreign minister paid tribute to the people of Pakistan and the country’s armed forces for standing together during a difficult period. He praised the bravery of military officers and soldiers and said the nation demonstrated exceptional unity and resilience.
According to Ishaq Dar:
“When a nation becomes united, no power in the world can shake its foundations.”
He added that the unity displayed by the Pakistani people during the conflict became the country’s biggest strength and helped deliver a decisive response to the enemy under the leadership of the field marshal.
“Balanced and Decisive Response” to Indian Aggression
Ishaq Dar stated that Pakistan exercised its right to self-defense and responded to Indian aggression in a balanced yet decisive manner. He claimed that Pakistan successfully targeted several Indian military objectives, including warplanes and strategic positions.
He said the operation sent a clear message to the international community that Pakistan would never compromise on its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The deputy prime minister further stated that Pakistan’s armed forces acted professionally and responsibly while protecting the country against external threats.
Diplomacy Played Key Role
Highlighting the diplomatic front, Ishaq Dar said Pakistan actively presented its position before the international community through effective diplomacy.
He said that despite what he described as Indian aggression last year, Pakistan initially showed patience and restraint. However, the country was fully prepared to defend itself when necessary.
The foreign minister added that Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts helped the world understand its perspective and commitment to regional peace and stability.
Kashmir Issue Mentioned
During his statement, Ishaq Dar also emphasized that lasting peace in South Asia would not be possible without resolving fundamental disputes, particularly the Kashmir issue.
He reiterated Pakistan’s long-standing position that the Kashmir dispute should be resolved according to United Nations resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
According to him:
“Sustainable peace in South Asia cannot be achieved without resolving core disputes, including Kashmir.”
Commitment to Peace and National Strength
Ishaq Dar said Pakistan remains committed to promoting peace in the region but would respond firmly to any threat against national security.
He also expressed confidence that Pakistan would continue to grow stronger not only militarily but also economically and socially. He said the country aims to strengthen sectors such as:
- Economy
- Education
- Technology
- National security
- Diplomacy
The deputy prime minister concluded by saying that unity, determination, and collective effort are essential for Pakistan’s progress and stability in the future.
