TANDOJAM: Representatives of the All Pakistan Soomra Association visited Mr. Muhammad Siddique Soomro, who was seriously injured in a robbery incident in Mir Colony, Tandojam, and expressed concern over the increasing incidents of crime in the area.
Dr. Aijaz Ahmed Soomro, President of the All Pakistan Soomra Association, Prof. Shoukat Soomro, Secretary of APSA Hyderabad Division, Mr. Shoukat Soomro, President APSA District Hyderabad, Prof. Abdul Saboor Soomro, President APSA Hyderabad Taluka Rural, and Ghulam Qadir Gul Morai Soomro, General Secretary APSA Hyderabad Taluka Rural, visited Muhammad Siddique Soomro and inquired about his health.
According to the information provided, the incident took place on Friday, September 11, 2026, in Mir Colony, Tandojam, shortly after Muhammad Siddique Soomro withdrew one million rupees from the Al-Habib Bank branch in Tandojam. He was allegedly intercepted by armed robbers while returning from the bank.
The robbers reportedly fired two bullets at him, seriously injuring him, and snatched one million rupees along with his mobile phone. It was further stated that one of the alleged robbers was wearing the official uniform of the security guards of the same bank, raising serious concerns about the possibility of the involvement of someone familiar with the bank’s security arrangements.
The representatives of the All Pakistan Soomra Association strongly condemned the incident and expressed solidarity with Muhammad Siddique Soomro and his family. They said that such incidents have created a sense of insecurity among citizens and that immediate and effective action is required to control the rising crime rate in Tandojam.
The APSA representatives demanded that the police investigate the incident on a priority basis and arrest all those involved in the robbery and shooting without any further delay. They also called for a transparent investigation into the alleged involvement of a person wearing the bank’s security guard uniform.
The association representatives emphasized that citizens should be able to withdraw and carry their hard earned money without fear of being targeted by criminals. They urged the police authorities to increase security measures around banks and other sensitive locations and take strict action against criminal elements operating in Tandojam.
The APSA leaders said that failure to take timely action against the culprits could further increase fear and insecurity among the people. They called upon the police and other concerned authorities to ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice at the earliest and that effective measures are taken to prevent similar incidents in the future.
