Islamabad: Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar has said that Pakistan is currently “shining on the global stage,” while India is facing nothing but failure and embarrassment.
Speaking at a ceremony in Islamabad, Atta Tarar stated that Pakistan holds a strong position at both diplomatic and military levels, and people around the world take pride in their association with the country.
He contrasted Pakistan’s progress with India, claiming that the eastern neighbor is experiencing isolation and setbacks. “Pakistan is shining in the world, while across the eastern border there is darkness, failure, and embarrassment,” he said.
The minister also alleged that India has never even condemned terrorism incidents in Pakistan, while referring to Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav, who was arrested in Pakistan, as evidence of hostile activities.
Referring to recent regional tensions, Atta Tarar said that Pakistan successfully defended its position diplomatically during what he called “Marka-e-Haq,” adding that the country emerged as a voice for peace globally.
He further claimed that Pakistan’s military and diplomatic response to challenges had strengthened its international standing.
The minister also referred to the Pahalgam incident, saying that when Pakistan asked for evidence, India remained silent. He added that Pakistan continues to fight terrorism with sacrifices from all sectors of society, including civilians and security forces.
Atta Tarar said that tragedies such as the Army Public School attack and the Jaffer Express incident reflect Pakistan’s ongoing struggle against terrorism, while accusing India of involvement in destabilizing activities across the region.
His remarks come amid heightened political rhetoric between the two countries, with both sides frequently exchanging accusations over security and regional issues.
