Federal Minister for Energy Owais Ahmed Leghari has stated that electricity load management has ended following the arrival of liquefied natural gas (LNG) supplies.
In a statement, the minister said that citizens had been facing scheduled power load management for the past few days due to gas shortages. However, he confirmed that LNG has now been received, which has helped restore stability in the power sector.
He added that with the arrival of the LNG shipment, load management measures for electricity have now been discontinued.
Leghari also expressed hope that transmission lines remain free from faults and disruptions. He noted that at times expensive gas had to be purchased in the international market because Qatari gas supplies were not available.
The minister emphasized that the government is working to ensure a stable energy supply and reduce inconvenience for consumers across the country.
