In North Waziristan’s Darpakhel area, a clash between local tribes and militants reportedly referred to as “Fitna al-Khawarij” resulted in the killing of five terrorists, according to officials.
Regional Police Officer (RPO) Bannu, Sajad Khan, said the incident took place in Shahzada Kot, where an exchange of fire occurred between armed militants and local tribal members.
He confirmed that five militants were killed and several others injured during the confrontation. However, firing by the militants also caused civilian casualties, with three people killed and eight others wounded.
The injured were immediately shifted to Civil Hospital Miranshah with the help of police.
The RPO added that police quickly responded to the situation and reached the area to assist local tribes. He emphasized that law enforcement agencies remain fully committed to protecting the lives and property of citizens and are always ready to respond to any threat.
