SUKKUR A dispute involving members of the Chauhan community in Sukkur has intensified following the closure of an alleged illegal Iranian petrol unit by the Assistant Commissioner of New Sukkur.
A series of protests and press conferences by members of the Chauhan community against one another has continued in connection with the matter.
Following a protest by supporters of Zafar Chauhan, Ghulam Madni Chauhan also held a press conference at the Sukkur National Press Club, where he rejected the allegations leveled against him by Irfan Chauhan, Zafar Chauhan and Jamal Din.
Ghulam Madni Chauhan described the allegations against him as false and said the dispute originated from a disagreement over financial demands related to business dealings.
He claimed that he had business dealings with Irfan Chauhan and Zafar Chauhan concerning a petrol pump unit. According to him, tensions developed when he demanded payment of money allegedly owed to him.
Ghulam Madni Chauhan further alleged that false cases and rumors were being spread against him in an attempt to harass and pressure him. He called for a transparent investigation into the allegations and demanded that action be taken against anyone found responsible for wrongdoing.
