NAUSHEHRO FEROZE: Residents have appealed to the police authorities to take legal action following an alleged case of animal abuse reported near the Naushehro Feroze Bypass.
According to local sources, an incident involving a goat and a man identified as Budhal alias Booro Chandio, reportedly residing in Mehran Town near Chanah Hotel, has allegedly taken place.
The suspect is originally said to belong to village Jumma Khan Chandio. Videos purportedly showing the alleged incident have reportedly circulated on social media, prompting concern and anger among local residents.
Residents have expressed serious concern over the alleged treatment of the animal and urged law-enforcement authorities to investigate the matter.
According to the report, no immediate police action had been taken at the time of the complaint. Residents have therefore appealed to SSP Naushehro Feroze to take notice of the allegations and initiate an investigation in accordance with the law.
The residents said that incidents involving cruelty or abuse of animals should not be ignored and that appropriate legal measures should be taken to prevent similar acts in the future.
They also urged the authorities to verify the authenticity of the video circulating on social media before proceeding against any individual. They stressed that any person found responsible after a lawful investigation should face action under the applicable laws.
Local sources further claimed that a similar incident had previously been reported in the Naushehro Feroze area. Residents recalled that legal action had reportedly been taken in that case as well.
The latest allegations have renewed calls for greater attention to animal welfare and stronger enforcement of laws against cruelty to animals.
Residents said that law-enforcement agencies should respond promptly to complaints involving animal abuse and ensure that investigations are conducted transparently and according to legal procedures.
They also appealed to citizens not to circulate disturbing material on social media unnecessarily and instead report suspected abuse to the relevant authorities so that the matter can be investigated properly.
The alleged incident remains subject to verification. No official confirmation of the allegations or details of any criminal case had been provided in the report at the time of publication.
Residents are now awaiting a response from the Naushehro Feroze police and have called upon the district police leadership to take appropriate action if the allegations are confirmed.
The complainants said that effective enforcement of the law would help discourage similar incidents and strengthen public confidence in the authorities’ response to animal cruelty.
The matter is expected to be investigated by the relevant police authorities, who will determine the facts and decide on further legal action based on available evidence.
