The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has summoned Pakistan cricketers Imam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Rizwan as part of an investigation.
According to sources, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had taken possession of the players’ mobile phones and handed them over to the relevant authorities.
The NCCIA has reportedly issued notices to Imam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Rizwan, requiring them to appear before the agency. A third Pakistani cricketer has also reportedly received a notice.
Sources said the agency will examine information obtained from the players’ mobile phones. The PCB has not yet publicly explained why the phones were taken.
The notices were reportedly issued on Monday, with both players summoned to NCCIA Lahore on Friday.
According to sources, the cricketers will be asked to unlock their phones, and investigators will question them about alleged dressing-room leaks during the England series.
