Senior Pakistani actress Hina Dilpazeer has expressed disappointment over the lack of merit-based opportunities in the entertainment industry.
Recently, Hina appeared on a private television channel’s program, where she discussed her career and various aspects of the entertainment industry.
When the host asked whether she was not being offered serious scripts or whether she herself did not want to work, Hina said that she simply does not receive offers for serious and quality scripts.
She added that she has been trying to understand the reason behind this but has not been able to find an answer.
Hina also criticized the strong “lobby system” in the industry, saying that everyone wants to work with people of their own choice.
She expressed the view that if projects were awarded purely on merit, she would also get more opportunities to showcase her talent.
