Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti has taken an oath from senior government officials that no government job will be sold or traded in the province.
The oath was administered during a meeting of the Secretaries Committee, chaired by Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti. The meeting reviewed the performance of various provincial departments and discussed measures to improve governance and ensure transparency in government affairs.
During the meeting, the chief minister made it clear that the government would not tolerate corruption or malpractice in the recruitment process. He directed senior officials to ensure that appointments are made strictly on merit and that no candidate is asked to pay money in exchange for a government position.
Sarfraz Bugti issued a strong warning that anyone found involved in the buying or selling of government jobs would face serious consequences. He stated that if the practice is proven, neither a secretary nor a minister would be spared from action.
The chief minister also stressed the importance of maintaining transparency in recruitment and protecting deserving candidates from unfair practices. He directed officials to ensure that government employment opportunities remain accessible to qualified applicants through a fair and transparent process.
During the meeting, complaints regarding alleged irregularities in recruitment within the Forest Department were also discussed. Taking notice of the complaints, the chief minister ordered a high-level investigation to determine whether any irregularities or violations of recruitment rules had occurred.
The investigation will examine the recruitment process and identify those responsible if any wrongdoing is established.
